Background:
Time served apprentice vehicle service mechanic 1972 -1976.
Served twenty-two years in the Armed Forces Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME) 1976 - 1998. Achieved the highest non-commissioned rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Artificer Sergeant Major (ASM).
Awarded the General Service Medal (GSM), Accumulated Campaign Service Medal (ACSM), Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (LS&GC), and Mentioned in Despatches (MID) for distinguished service.
On retirement from the armed forces in August 1998 I moved back into civilian life and have been employed for the last ten years as a full time Safety and Health Practitioner with the Magellan Aerospace Corporation having full responsibility for safety across all Precision Engineering and Metal Treatments Facilities, and Technical Offices throughout the United Kingdom.
I am a Chartered Member of IOSH and a Member of the Institute for Leadership and Management (MInstLM).
