Background:
I am a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner having worked in this profession for eighteen years, and I have been a member of the IOSH Merseyside branch for seventeen years. I am the current branch secretary and have served on the executive committee for ten years.
My experience in HS&E issues was gained in the electrical engineering industry, and I've been involved in railway electrification, overhead power lines, sub station installations, underground cabling, electrical installation and manufacturing.
I am currently employed as HS&E Manager with United Utilities, and am involved with all Health, Safety & Environment issues in areas such as Water, Gas and electrical infrastructure.
